Welcome to 2009! The school year is half over and we are all rested and ready to let the learning minds blossom! By the middle of January we will have mid-year data in reading and math for all our pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade students. At that time grade level teams will be working together with our reading and math specialists to plan an individualized course of action for each child. People used to think the first years of school were just play. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our children are absorbing new learning each and every day. Their brains are more open to new information than they ever will be again. All of us, school personnel and families, form the "team" that will ensure YOUR child reaches his or her full potential. What an exciting role for us! Let's not waste a second.
