Club Z! offers affordable one-on-one tutoring, in the students home at times convenient for parents and students. We tutor all subjects, and all grade levels using the student's school curriculum, instead of a pre-determined program that may not relate to current class work. We interact directly with our parents and the classroom teachers to insure solid, timely results.

Reading Skills and Speed Reading Programs for Children and Adults
University College at Texas Tech, a non-profit organization, is offering reading programs this summer for children and adults. Classes will be taught by professional instructors from the Institute of Reading Development. The classes will be held once a week during July and August. This program will cover phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, study skills, speed reading and the love of reading.
One program is for students entering 9th – 11th grade. Students in this program make substantial gains in comprehension while doubling reading speed. They also learn the best way to read textbooks, take notes, and study for tests. As a result, students complete homework more quickly and easily, get better grades, and enjoy reading more.
Another program is for entering 12th graders, college students and adults. This program will transform your reading skills. You will double your reading speed in difficult material and triple your reading speed in easier material, while improving comprehension, concentration, and recall. As a result, you’ll save a lot of time and get more out of everything you read.

Above & Beyond Center is a tutoring center serving Lubbock and the surrounding area. We work with students of all ages and most subject areas. We have partnered with Educational Testing Methods and offer the only combined SAT/ACT preparation course in the nation. Our next class begins March 22 and will go through May 5. These classes will meet Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00 – 7:30. Not only will all sections of both tests be covered, but students will also learn test taking tips and strategies and become familiar with each test’s format. Students will be prepared for the May 7 and June 4 SAT test and the June 11 ACT test. A free refresher course May 31 and June 2 will be offered to all students who attend these classes. We have included an announcement below about these classes we would like you to share with your students. Due to the fact that our teachers are teaching the "0" hour this year, it is much more difficult for them to help students at convenient times.
