PLAN Test on Monday, Oct. 6th
Tenth graders have the opportunity to take part in ACT’s PLAN Program on Monday, October 6th. This is the only time PLAN will be offered this year. PLAN, which is taken by most students in preparation for the ACT Assessment, includes academic tests and a survey of career interests. PLAN also provides an estimated ACT Assessment score so you can see if you’re on track for the college or career of your choice. If you are undecided, PLAN can put some focus into your future. Participating in PLAN gives you a head start on career and educational planning.
ACT has also developed a correlation between the PLAN Test and the TAKS Test. Teachers and administrators use the scores from the PLAN to help predict scores on the TAKS graduation test.
PLAN will be offered Monday, October 6th. All sophomores will take the test. Sophomores will each receive a planning guide for students and parents. This booklet includes information about: planning your future, common questions about PLAN, tips for doing your best on the PLAN tests, sample test questions, and the use of calculators on the mathematics test.
Students or parents can receive more information about PLAN by contacting Carol Johnson in the counseling office.
