Locally, 48% of rape cases Lubbock Rapte Crisis Center has assisted with involve victims under the age of 17. Counselors report that all victims report feelings of shame and guilt about their experience no matter their age or circumstances. Victims often report feeling very alone, until they run across someone else they can relate to.
LRCC offers free counseling to those affected by sexual assault.
