GRADING POLICY
1. Daily grades will count one time in the gradebook. The following is an example of assignments that are considered to be daily grades:
worksheets assigned during class to reinforce learning or to guide reading
quizzes given to check for understanding of concepts already taught
participation grades to be given for the amount of participation during class discussions or group work:
a grade ranging from 0 - 100 will be given based on the amount of
active participation or how much was contributed to the outcome
points will be deducted if student fails to contribute or participate
or if students distracts from learning.
2. Major grades will count two times in the gradebook. These will include:
Tests
Projects: Oral Presentations and Visuals
Early Work each six weeks
3. Extra credit is always available for any student who wants to improve his/her grade. It is the students responsibility to ask me about this.
4. In accordance with school policy, when a student is absent, he/she has the same number of days absent to turn in any missed work to receive full credit.
5. Also in accordance with school policy, if a student fails to turn in an assignment, the student will be assigned to tutorials or Thursday Night Live. The highest grade possible for the late assignment will be a 70.
