1.Daily grades will count one time in the grade book. Daily grades will include:
oWorksheets assigned during class to reinforce learning or to guide the reading.
oQuizzes given to check for understanding of concepts already taught.
oParticipation grades given for the amount of participation during class discussions or during group work. (Rubric will be used)
oWriting assignments.

2.Major grades will count two times in the grade book. Major grades will include:
oTests
oProjects
oEarly Work each six weeks

3.Extra credit is always available for any student who wants to improve his/her grade. It will be the student’s responsibility to ask me about this.

4.In accordance with school policy, when a student is absent, he/she has the same number of days absent to turn in any missed work to receive full credit.

5.Also in accordance with school policy, zeros (for not doing an assignment) are not permitted. Thus, if a student fails to turn in an assignment, the student will be assigned to tutorials until the assignment is completed. The student will not receive full credit for the assignment.
